TEN HAG'S TEAM NEWS FOR BURNLEY CLASH

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag provided an update on the team ahead of the Premier League clash against Burnley at Old Trafford. Following the midweek victory over Sheffield United, which propelled United to sixth place in the table, Ten Hag hinted at the return of Mason Mount for the upcoming match against Burnley.

Despite a lengthy injury list, including players like Marcus Rashford, Jonny Evans, Willy Kambwala, Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, and Anthony Martial, Ten Hag confirmed that Mason Mount would likely return to the squad for Saturday's fixture.

The defensive crisis has led to Casemiro filling in at center-back alongside Harry Maguire, while Bruno Fernandes played with a bandaged hand and scored twice against Sheffield United, despite sustaining an injury in the previous match against Coventry City in the Emirates FA Cup semi-final.

Sofyan Amrabat made a return in the midweek game, and Ethan Wheatley, an Under-18s striker, made his senior debut, becoming the 250th Academy graduate to play for the first team.

Ten Hag expressed optimism about defensive reinforcements returning next month, with Shaw, Martinez, and Martial expected to be available again in the final weeks of the season.

In Burnley's camp, manager Vincent Kompany revealed that striker Lyle Foster is fit despite coming off during the previous weekend's victory over Sheffield United. Goalkeeper Arijanet Muric and Luca Koleosho are also available, but Ameen Al-Dakhil, Jordan Beyer, Aaron Ramsey, and Nathan Redmond are ruled out.
